NES Global are currently recruiting for a Senior Corrosion Engineer for a major operator client based in Houston, TX. The main purpose of the job holder will be to provide project technical support for corrosion engineering issues in upstream oil and gas production.

Typical Position Responsibilities:

- Support new oil and gas construction projects with assistance for corrosion engineering challenges, specifically in the areas of corrosion modeling, corrosion testing and monitoring and corrosion management plan development and implementation.
- Coordinate qualification programs for corrosion inhibitor chemicals.
- Develop and maintain Company practices.
- Engage contractors to provide understanding of Company requirements.
- Perform modeling and testing to determine required material selection for new projects.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in relevant Engineering or Chemistry discipline
- Candidate must have 5 or more years of industry experience in corrosion engineering
- Candidate must have direct experience with corrosion modeling and testing for upstream oil and gas facilities and pipelines
- Must be conversant in industry standard practices and documentation for use, testing, and specification of oil field corrosion inhibition chemicals, and be familiar with all aspects of upstream oil and gas production

Preferred Skills:

- Masters/PhD in relevant Engineering or Chemistry discipline
- Project engineering experience on large construction projects, knowledge of corrosion engineering challenges for upstream oil and gas facilities and pipelines
