Project Manager Highways Up to 50K DOE
Project Manager required for a major highways project in the North West/Scotland border region. Worth approximately 60 million pounds, this is an important project for one of the largest and most successful contractors in the UK. With a number of other highly lucrative contracts in Civil Engineering both underway and beginning over the next 12 months, they can provide career stability and outstanding prospects. A Project Manager must be in place by October when the project commences.
As Project Manager you responsibilities will include:
Contributing to the tender and pre qualification process
Work within the company standards - Business Plan, HSQE CSR, Procurement/Supply, Finance, HR etc
Plan, programme, set up and run a project
Assesses risk and opportunity
Represent the company on contractual issues if required
Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the contract
Produce & monitor resource programmes and costings
Leads the planning process
Controlling and monitoring costs
Management of Sub-contractors
You will need to be experience with a main contractor on multi-million pound projects (highways) and have a high level of commercial/financial awareness.
