We are currently seeking a Local Project Controls Manager (Cost Lead) to join our client's Commercial Services Division. This is a full time role based in Cumbria, which is currently expected to last until March 2009 and is a key opportunity to support the growth of our client's business in this area.

The key purpose of the role is to support the various day to day cost management activities required by a major clients project controls team and act as the functional lead for Cost Estimation.

Another key part of this role will be close liaison with the clients identifying critical commercial issues through the dissemination of large volumes of cost data and the production of high level summary reports.

Key Accountabilities will include acting as custodian and subject matter expert of NDA contractual PROJECTS Control Procedures associated with estimating and scrutiny of Tier 1 Contractor estimates to identify main cost drivers. You will be responsible for the production of senior management reports on the quality and completeness of received estimates and raising the awareness of NDA Cost Estimating.
You will support NDA Cost Management initiatives as they arise and will carry out strategic cost analysis on wide ranges of data sets, working with NDA Site Project Controls Managers to strengthen cost estimating focus.
