Position Description

Working within the Estimating team you will be responsible for the estimation of electrical and instrumentation work in petrochemical and oil & gas projects. Job responsibilities include the following activities:

Review the drawings /scope of work and formulate the quantum of work/BOQ.
Identify the resource requirements in line with construction/fabrication productivities and the project scope.
Identify the detailed construction material and consumable requirement and obtain competitive prices.
Identify the required subcontractors along with the Construction and Subcontract Administration department for relevant activities and obtain competitive prices.
Prepare Estimation / project summary for management review.
Prepare database for the productivity norms and cost / rate.


Qualifications Degree / HND / NVQ, optional if the candidate has the right experience and skills

Experience Construction Estimate of Electrical & Instrumentation in Petrochemical and Oil & Gas Projects.
Experience in computerized environment of Tendering and Estimation on EPC and Construction works.
Experience in construction site, man-power and equipment deployment requirement, Installation of equipments & bulk materials, loop testing
Capable of independently managing estimation of EPC projects.
Deriving quantities from the Drawings, co-ordination with the Vendors, sub-vendor, sub-contractors, Client, consultant.
Compilation of Technical & Commercial Bids.

Skills/Knowledge Familiar with International Standards applicable to discipline for design, engineering, construction and operations of Multidiscipline projects e.g. API, ASTM, BS, DIN, Shell DEPs etc.
Conversant with Project Planning, Costing, MIS reporting and system software's such as Primavera, M.S. Project, Open Plan etc.,
