Environmental Engineer: South East
Our client is an Oil & Gas operating company with locations in the South East. A vacancy has arisen for an Environmentla Engineer to be located in their sub-contractors offices on a contract basis.

The role will involve being the focal point for all Environmental and Biodiversity data during the preparation of the pre-EIA and EIA documentation compliant to country requirements. The position will be provision of technical support to the Lead Environmental Engineer in the management of all Environmental issues during the FEED and Detail Design stages of Phase III Project, working with the Project Management Team and project execution team.

Responsibilities of the role involve HSE supervision and input to the preparation of environmental impact assessments, baseline studies etc, preparation of materials for and possible presentation at public hearings, preparation of briefing papers on specific topics, production of and/or quality control of environmental data generated from estimates or monitoring programmes to ensure compliance country and company reporting requirements. You will provide support on routine health safety and environmental issues. You will liaise with other departments and other team members (other technical disciplines, HSE, cost estimating) Visits to Kazakhstan and site may be necessary also

The successful candidate must hold a degree in engineering in a related subject, coupled with knowledge and skills in Oil & Gas processing technology / facilities engineering and standards. You will need knowledge of environmental requirements (especially the Emissions Permitting process and Project development procedures), producing and processing environmental data and experience of the Project Development Process (Concept, FEED and subsequent development stages and the role of contractors). Ideally you will have experience of H2S and writing of notes/documents/procedures in Russian and English.
