Engineering Shift Managers

Our client is a major food manufacture with a large production facility based in the Bristol. Due to a successful capital project they require Engineering Shift Managers.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will manage a shift maintenance team compressing 10 multi skilled engineers. Dealing with machinery maintenance both planned & reactive, health & safety, quality, hygiene and budgetary control.

Qualified to minimum ONC level ideally HNC you will have excellent planning and organisational skills with previous experience working within a similar role. You will have a good knowledge of planned maintenance techniques and be a skilled man manager. You will be expected to provide an efficient facility for the inspection, maintenance and repair of the company's plant and equipment and to ensure that required levels of service and maintenance budgets are met through control of the site engineering resource. The successful candidate will be an experienced engineer, highly qualified and have a number of years of hands-on experience in managing the engineering function for a Food or FMCG manufacturer. They will have the ability to be able to successfully manage in a proactive, not merely reactive, style.
