Our client is a major midlands water authority with offices and sites based throughout the region.

Role Objective:

As part of the Sewerage Pumping Station Team, the Craftsman Electrician will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of assets for Sewerage within the Gloucestershire region.


Key Responsibilities:

Carry out direct planned and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of assets and electrical systems up to 415 volts.
Maintenance of electrical distribution and process control equipment, including programmable logic controllers, temperature, flow, level and pressure reactive control systems.
Basic Mechanical skills required long with a good overall general knowledge.
Will be required to participate in a stand-by rota.
Ensure the Health and Safety of yourself, colleagues, visitors and members of the public.
Own assigned maintenance activities through to completion.
Identify and order appropriate spares.
Maintain effective communication with colleagues and other departments.
Experience Required: e.g. managing staff, delivering of projects, managing change programmes

Essential:
Previous experience working within a similar role.
Basic Mechanical skills.
Experience of working on a wide range of process control equipment including programmable logic controllers, temperature, flow, level, pressure and chemical dosing systems.
Good general knowledge of workshop practise.
Experience of fault finding and carrying out repairs.

Desirable:
NVQ in Instrumentation Maintenance.
Experience of electrical work.
Working knowledge of water treatment processes.
Knowledge of IEE 16th Edition Electrical Regulations
