Our client, a major Oil & Gas Operating Company is presently looking to hire an additional Control Systems Engineer for an Offshore Pre-EPC phase of a new major project. The initial duration of this position is 12 months during Pre-EPC phase with the potential for extension once project moves forward.

Main duties & responsibilities for this role are as follows:
Coordinates the engineering aspects of the project activities within his discipline to ensure that safety, operability, maintainability, reliability and other technical objectives are fully met, within approved project scope, budget and schedule.
Monitors Contractor�s performance within his discipline, providing advice as necessary to make certain Company�s control system design goal, design philosophy and specifications are met.
Provides timely review of Contractor�s designs, utilizing electronic communication media required.
Provides technical support to the procurement and construction activities.
Participates in vendors� Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
Assists the Mechanical Completion Co-ordinator with design input/assistance during the Mechanical Completion Phase.
Provides start-up and commissioning support for the offshore facilities.

On offer is a competitive $US day rate along with a substantial monthly allowance of $7,600 to cover accommodation, transportation, mobile phone and rotational flights. Initially this contract is for a period of 12 months, which may be extended in due course.
