Our client is one of the largest UK water suppliers and provide clean drinking water and usage for millions of customers in Central England. The engineering division of the group is solely responsible for the operations and maintenance of the groups assets, including water & wastewater treatment plants, sewage networks and pumping stations. Due to the expansion of the engineering business they are presently seeking an Administrator (Building Regulations).

Role Objective:

*Part time role 18.5 hours per week*

Reporting to the Asset Protection Manager, the role holder will be responsible for initial evaluation of customer's proposals to build over or close to public sewers so as to ensure protection of the public sewerage system whilst assisting customers to achieve realistic development proposals.

The role of the Asset Protection team is to help customers obtain development driven sewerage services without adversely affecting the performance of the existing sewerage systems.

Key Accountabilities:

Maintain and manage the Building over Sewer database
Ensure good communication and liaison maintained with local authority building control officers/approved inspectors and customers
Initial handling of customers proposals for building over or close to public sewers
Evaluation and approval/rejection of building over or close to public sewers proposals
Adhere to all Asset Protection Processes
Support Evaluation Technicians Job Shop as required
Support other members of the team in wider development issues as required

Experience:

In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:

Experience in working within strict time scales
Experience in organising and prioritising workloads
Experience in building and developing effective relationships with both internal and external customers
Some knowledge of Building Regulations requirements and building foundation design is desirable
Some understanding of the design and operation of sewerage systems is desirable

Qualifications:

5 GCSE's including English and Maths at grade A-C, GNVQ or equivalent
HNC, BTEC in relevant engineering subject would be advantageous
