They currently have a vacancy for a Senior Land Surveyor to join their team in Warrington.

The post involves assisting with the management of a major clients Framework Surveying Contract encompassing Topographical Surveys, Underground Utility Surveys, Measured Building Surveys and 3D Laser Scanning.

The role includes (but is not limited to):
Preparation of contractual orders, defining scope and technical content and cost estimating
Liaising with contractors in the field, advising on technical issues
Managing survey delivery and specifications, advising on technical matters
Field checking, quality control and final validation of surveys
Development of new survey techniques in conjunction with our contractors
Development and implementation of new procedures
Taking an active role in the future development of surveying within the Company


Competencies
To be successful in this role you will need to be precise, dedicated, organised, self-motivated and a good communicator with strong field and office experience across a variety of survey activities and hold an RICS or ICES accreditation, or other recognised land surveying qualification.

You must be able to demonstrate good level of awareness of current safety legislation / regulations, a good working knowledge of current survey techniques and equipment GPS experience is essential. You must have extensive experience of working with field coded survey processing systems, preferably SCC and have extensive knowledge and experience of Digital Terrain Modelling.
You will need to have a reasonable working knowledge of AutoCAD and be familiar with laser scanning and 3D modelling. You will need to have some experience of leading survey teams in the field and will be looking to take the next step in a managerial role. Experience of working on industrial plant and / or in confined spaces is also desirable.
