Our client is a leading engineering, construction and project management company that specialise in ECP contracts and services for customers across several market sectors; Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Bio, Defence, Nuclear, Infrastructure, Buildings, Rail & Transportation. Due to the continued growth of the business and in particular the UK nuclear and defence market, the client are seeking several professional and technical staff across a number of sites and office throughout the UK. They currently require 2 x EC&I Engineers to work on site in the South West of England. The following experience/background is needed;
Degree or equivalent in control / instrumentation or allied subject.
Minimum of 5 years C&I experience in industrial applications: typically; power, nuclear or process industries.
Experience in the engineering, design and specification of the following equipment:
o Control Panels,
o PLC, DCS, SCADA systems,
o Panel Instruments,
o Interfaces between instrument and electrical control equipment,
o Marshalling panels,
o Field cabling,
o Field instrumentation; pressure, flow, temperature, etc,
o Online analysers / analyser systems.
Site experience an advantage as some of the work scope will be working with existing client infrastructure & equipment and updating / interfacing new equipment.
Suitable industry experience of testing and commissioning activities.
This position will be interfacing with other project disciplines and clients and hence the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team with demonstrable communication skills are pre-requisites for the post.
Logical problem solving skills / capability.
The successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of British / European codes and standards.
