Working for a major EPC based in Houston, Texas, you will be responsible for the design, specification and services related to control systems. These include basic process control systems, safety systems, control panels, analyzer systems, telecommunications, field instrumentation and valves. In addition, you may also be responsible for advanced control optimization.

Under broad direction, your functions as a technical specialist will involve making decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities. You will also be involved in negotiating critical and controversial issues with top level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies. You will also preform advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognised authority for broad program areas or in an intensely area.

Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering with sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional. Experience in P&ID development, INtools and Fieldbus is preferred. Must as a minimum be a Honeywell/Emerson/Yokogawa DCS specialist.
