Our clients, are a large rail organisation, who are looking to recruit a Cost Engineer at their offices in Milton Keynes. The Cost Engineer is responsible for working with the sub programmes to co-ordinate the cost and budget reporting process. He/she supports the Senior Cost Analyst working on a large rail remodelling project in Milton Keynes.

Key Accountabilities
-Prepare information required for programme-wide reporting each period including PMCS, the Executive Report Area Review Package and other Programme Controls reports.
-Liaise with the Change Control Analyst and Financial Authority Group and facilitate all approved budget and authority changes are entered into PMCS.
-Co-ordinate the consolidation of PMCS information from the Project organisations. Validate the information input into PMCS is consistent with the Budget Management and Authority Reports.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential
-Educated to degree level standard
-Experience with centralised project cost control and planning software
-Computer literate especially database software as -Microsoft Access
-Strong communicator
-Team player
Desirable
-Railway engineering or operational experience
-Engineering degree or equivalent
-Knowledge of PMCS finance software
