Our client is a large consultancy involved within the nuclear industry and due to ongoing projects they are now looking to employ and control system engineer to join their team based in the northeast
Responsibilities
Provide support to Software, C&I and Safety System Engineers for the development and testing of code migration & dynamic model/simulation environments including: Implementation & testing of PLC software modules & systems. Design implementation & testing of simulation software devices for complete project simulation. Design, configuration, implementation & testing of SCADA systems. Writing project specific documentation compliant with project/customer/industry standards. Continually develops technical knowledge and competence in field of expertise, and seeks to develop skill portfolio. Successful execution of high quality engineering work to time, quality, budget and customer satisfaction.
Experience Required For This Role
The candidate(s) should have specific knowledge in PLC programming and system integration, SCADA configuration and software testing techniques etc, and knowledge and experience of installation and commissioning of PLC / SCADA systems. Added benefits would be the capability to either assess, or review assessments of the reliability of safety related Programmable Systems in accordance with international standards, e.g. IEC 61508.
