Reporting to Commercial Purchasing Manager, your responsibilities will include:

1. To conduct competitive supplier selection processes for sourcing, new and existing requirements.
2. Negotiate contract terms and conditions, including prices for all types of agreement (Non Disclosure, Supply and Service Agreements, Memorandum Of Understanding and Letters of Intent etc)
3. Manage the implementation processes for new products/suppliers
4. Identify, report and implement cost reduction opportunities
5. Support market research, including low cost and benchmarking of the supply chain and new technology
6. Participate in continuous improvement activities
7. Manage specific purchasing improvement projects.
8. Conduct key supplier business and improvement reviews

In order to effectively carry out this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

Ideally CIPS Qualified or equivalent. Aside being able to demonstrate working experience at Buyer level, you will ideally have worked in the aerospace industry and in a hands-on role.

Also, as part of a team that ensures we achieve exact requirements, you will liaise with customers and suppliers alike.

Some travel will be involved.
